APPARATUS EQUIPMENT <br />PRIMARY <br />Section 02462 <br />15-1207 <br />Posts shall be constructed of 3-1/2" OD x 11 ga. galvanized, and shall measure 138" in <br />height. Posts shall have a 3-1/2" round end cap pressed into top end. Post, support <br />assembly and cam lock assembly shall be finished in Mira -Cote. JAX body shall be <br />finished in Rockite. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to installation of the work of this Section, carefully inspect and verify that installed work of <br />all other trades is complete to the point where this installation may properly commence. <br />B. Verify that specified items may be installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. In event of discrepancy, immediately notify Architect. Do not proceed in discrepant areas until <br />discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. Locate equipment in accordance with the approved shop drawings. <br />B. Install posts in concrete footings of dimension recommended by manufacturer and approved by <br />Architect. <br />Prior to digging postholes, review and coordinate with any utility or storm drain lines <br />located within apparatus area. Confirm posts will not conflict with previously installed work. <br />C. Miscellaneous equipment and components: Install in accord with manufactures directions, firmly <br />securing all members and anchoring in ground where required. Cover all exposed fasteners with <br />integral cover plates or applied vandal -proof covers, so there are no rough or protruding edges <br />which can cause injury. <br />D Install all components plumb and true, in accordance with manufacturer's printed directions. <br />E. Coordinate with installation of Section 02925, Apparatus Fill. <br />3.03 CLEANING <br />A. Upon completion of installation, remove manufacturer's temporary labels, marks of identification. <br />Thoroughly wash surfaces and remove foreign material. Leave entire work in neat, orderly, <br />clean and acceptable condition. Replace damaged parts and surfaces, which are not free from <br />imperfections. <br />3.04 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section and other sections prior to and during installation. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary, to the approval of the <br />Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />0 <br />
