PIPED UTILITIES <br />Section 02700 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to <br />this Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: <br />1. Domestic water piping system. <br />2. Fire protection piping systems. <br />3. Sewer piping system. <br />B. Other items that may be specified or shown on the Drawings. <br />1.03 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 01500, Construction Facilities and Temporary Controls. <br />B. Section 02210, Trenching and Backfilling. <br />C. Section 03000, Site Concrete. <br />D. Section 02200, Earthwork. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are <br />specifically shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />Sun damaged or discolored PVC pipe will be rejected. <br />B. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed <br />by the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering <br />and replacement. <br />C. The representatives of the Owner's testing lab will not act as supervisor of construction, <br />nor will they direct construction operations. Neither the presence of the Owner's testing <br />lab representatives nor the testing by the Owner's testing lab shall excuse the <br />contractors or subcontractors for defects or deficiencies discovered in their work during <br />or following completion of the project. Correcting inadequate compaction is the sole <br />responsibility of the contractor. <br />D. Contractor shall be solely responsible for all subgrades built. Any repairs resulting from <br />inadequate compaction or incorrect grades will be is the responsibility of the contractor. <br />
