IRRIGATION <br />Section 02810 <br />Project 15-1207 <br />installation, install at the correct depth in the pipe and orientate the paddle properly for <br />accurate reading of flow. Connect flow sensor wire to the automatic controller. Install <br />wire in a conduit. The wire is not to have any splices between the valve and the <br />controller. <br />D. Connect Flow Sensor to two -wire cable using a sensor decoder. <br />3.05 GRADING <br />A. Install all irrigation features to their finished grade and at depths indicated. Complete <br />and /or accommodate all rough grading and/or finish grading before commencing with <br />trenching. <br />3.06 LAYOUT <br />A. Lay out work as accurately as possible to Drawings. Drawings are generally <br />diagrammatic to extent that swing joint offsets and fittings are not shown. Record all <br />changes on the Record Drawings. <br />B. Do not willfully install the irrigation system as shown on Drawings when it is obvious, in <br />the field, that obstructions or other discrepancies exist which may not have been <br />considered in the design. Notify Owner's Representative of discrepancies before <br />proceeding. <br />3.07 EXCAVATING AND TRENCHING <br />A. General: Perform excavations as required for installation of work included under this <br />Section, including shoring of earth banks to prevent cave-ins. Restore surfaces, existing <br />underground installations, etc., damaged or cut as result of this work to their original <br />condition and in a manner approved by the Landscape Architect. <br />1. Make trenches wide enough to allow a minimum of six inches (6") between <br />parallel pipelines and three inches (3") between side of pipe and side of trench. <br />Do not allow stacking of pipe within trench. <br />2. Allow a minimum clearance of twelve inches (12") in any direction from parallel <br />pipes of other trades. <br />C. Preparation of Excavations: Remove rubbish and rocks from trenches. Bed pipe on a <br />minimum of three inches (3") of clean, rock -free soil to provide a firm, uniform bearing <br />for entire length of pipeline. Cover pipe with a minimum of three inches (3") of clean, <br />rock -free soil. If clean, rock -free soil is not available, use sand for pipe bedding and <br />three inches (3") of backfill above the pipe. The remainder of the trench backfill material <br />can be native soil. Do not allow wedging or blocking of pipe. <br />D. Minimum depth of cover: Unless shown otherwise, provide the following minimums: <br />Mainline: twenty-four inches (24") cover. <br />0 <br />
