IRRIGATION <br />Section 02810 <br />Project 15-1207 <br />B. Examination: Examine conditions of work in place before beginning work; report defects. <br />C. Measurements: Take field measurements; report variance between plan and field <br />dimensions. <br />D. Protection: Maintain warning signs, shoring and barricades as required. Prevent injury <br />to, or defacement of, existing improvements. At no additional cost to Owner, repair or <br />replace items damaged by installation operations. <br />E. Existing Tree Protection: <br />1. Avoid unnecessary root disturbance, compaction of soils within drip line, or limb <br />breakage. <br />2. Do not store material or dispose of any material other than clean water within the <br />drip line. <br />3. Provide adequate irrigation during construction. <br />4. Replace any tree damaged during construction with a tree of equal size and <br />value at no additional cost to Owner. <br />5. Adjust trench locations in field to minimize damage to existing elements and plant <br />roots of trees -to -remain at no additional cost to Owner. <br />F. Surface Preparation: Prior to beginning sprinkler irrigation work, complete placement of <br />topsoil as specified in Section 02200 — EARTHWORK. Notify Project Inspector of <br />irregularities if any. <br />3.03 AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER <br />A. Install components as per Drawings and manufacturer's recommendations. All wiring <br />connections shall be neatly accomplished within the controller cabinet. Connect Ethernet <br />and grounding system as per manufacturer's recommendations. <br />B. Connect automatic control valves to controller(s) in sequence as shown on Drawings. <br />C. Install all exposed wires to a minimum of twenty-four inches (24") beyond controller <br />within a UL approved rigid conduit. <br />3.04 MASTER VALVES AND FLOW SENSOR <br />A. Master Valve: Install as per manufacturer's recommendation. Connect master valve <br />wiring to the automatic controller. Install wire in a conduit. Wire is not to have any splices <br />between the valve and the controller. <br />B. Connect Master Valve to two -wire cable using a single -station line decoder. <br />C.
