LANDSCAPING <br />Section 02900 <br />Project 15-1207 <br />Section, using plants of the same kind and size specified in plant list. <br />1.04 QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Qualifications: Provide proof of five years of continuous experience in landscaping and <br />irrigation of projects of similar size. <br />B. Work Force: Ensure that an experienced foreman is present at all times during <br />installation. Keep the same foreman and workers on the job from commencement to <br />completion. <br />C. Reviews: Specifically request reviews of all items listed below in "Inspection <br />Requirements" prior to progressing to the next level of work. The Owner's <br />Representative reserves the right to inspect and reject material, both at place of growth <br />and at site, before and/or after planting, for compliance with requirements for name, <br />variety, size and quality. <br />D. Reference Standards: Meet or exceed Federal, State and County laws requiring <br />inspection of all plants and planting materials for plant disease and insect control. <br />E. Delivery, Storage, and Handling: <br />Packaged Materials: Deliver packaged materials in original, unopened <br />containers showing weight, certified analysis, name and address of <br />manufacturer, and indication of conformance with state and federal laws if <br />applicable. <br />2. Bulk Materials: <br />a. Do not dump or store bulk materials near structures, utilities, walkways <br />or pavements, or on existing turf areas or plants. <br />b. Provide erosion -control measures to prevent erosion or displacement of <br />bulk materials, discharge of soil -bearing water runoff, and airborne dust <br />reaching adjacent properties, water conveyance systems, or walkways. <br />C. Accompany each delivery of bulk fertilizers and soil amendments with <br />appropriate certificates. <br />F. Plant Material: <br />Conform to the current edition of Horticultural Standards for quality of Number 1 <br />grade nursery stock as adopted by the American Association of Nurserymen. <br />Conform to sizes specified on plant legend. Select plants which have a natural <br />shape and appearance. <br />2. Select only plants that are true to name, and tag one of each bundle or lot with <br />the name of the plant in accordance with the standards of practice of the <br />American Association of Nurserymen.
