Stake shrubs with one -inch by one -inch by eighteen -inch (1"x1"x18") stakes in <br />such manner that the stakes are not visible, and tie to upright position if they lean <br />and/or are not growing in a vertical position. <br />14. Furnish quantities necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings <br />and, if necessary, make up for any discrepancies in the quantities given in the <br />Plant List at no additional cost to Owner. <br />G. Comply with the requirements of Section 01700 — CONTRACT CLOSEOUT. <br />1.05 INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Landscape Architect reserves the right to examine and reject plant material both at place <br />of growth and at site, before and after planting, for compliance with requirements of <br />name, variety, size, and quality. <br />B. Request and hold a pre -construction meeting prior to beginning the work of this Section. <br />Parties required to be in attendance are the Landscape Contractor, Proiect Inspector, <br />Owner's Representative, and Landscape Architect. <br />C. Obtain verification from Proiect Inspector for the following at the appropriate times during <br />construction and prior to further progression of work in this Section: <br />Rough grading is to tolerances specified in Section 02200 — EARTHWORK. <br />2. The placement of landscape backfill material is as specified in this Section. <br />3. Prior to the commencement of the work specified in this Section, the coverage <br />and operation of the sprinkler irrigation system are as specified in Section 02810 <br />- SPRINKLER IRRIGATION. <br />4. The soil amendment does not include any metal fragments. (Obtain a letter from <br />the manufacturer stating that the material submitted for use on this project has <br />no metal or foreign objects. Submit this letter as part of the Data Sheet submittal <br />package [see "Submittals and Substitutions" in this Section]) <br />5. Required Test: For each load of soil amendment delivered to the site, spread at <br />least two cubic yards (2 cy) of material onto a paved surface approximately two <br />inches (2") deep. Pass a magnetic rake over the material in two directions. If <br />any metal is found, test the entire load in the same manner. Perform all testing <br />in the presence of the Project Inspector. <br />6. Soil amendments, fertilizer, bark have been delivered to the site by the supplier, <br />the invoices from the supplier indicate the project name and quantities delivered, <br />and the Proiect Inspector has received copies of all such documents. <br />7. Prior to planting, amendments and conditioners have been incorporated as per <br />pre -planting recommendations, and planting areas have been made ready to <br />receive planting. <br />4 <br />
