APPARATUS FILL <br />Section 02925 <br />15-1207 <br />1.09 FIELD MEASUREMENTS <br />A. Make and be responsible for all field dimensions necessary for proper fitting and completion <br />of work. Report any discrepancies to Contractor before proceeding. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL <br />A. Apparatus fill shall be Fibar System 300, wood fiber safety surfacing system, as designed <br />and manufactured by Fibar Systems of Armonk, NY and represented by MF Filice & Sons <br />Surfaces of San Jose, CA (800) 457-6821 or approved equal. <br />2.02 SYSTEM COMPONENTS <br />A. Subsurface drainage matrix: FibarDrain® by Fibar Systems, is a needle -punched 100% <br />non -woven geotextile sleeve surrounding a monofilament nylon mesh (minimum flow rate of <br />10 gpm/ft). Install as indicated on drawings or at a minimum of 6 -feet on -center per <br />manufacturer's recommendations. <br />B. Drainage fabric: FibarFelt® by Fibar Systems, is a needle -punched 100% polyester non- <br />woven geotextile fabric. Install over top of subsurface drainage matrix and over entire <br />apparatus area. Wrap up curb walls 3 -inches and provide 3 -inch field laps as recommended <br />by the manufacturer. <br />C. Engineered wood fiber material: Fibar® Engineered Wood Fibers by Fibar Systems, is a <br />manufactured blend of pliable all -natural wood fibers. Install to a minimum compacted depth <br />of V-3" or deeper as may be indicated in drawings. Provide additional material at no extra <br />cost to owner if minimum compacted depth falls below the minimum required depth following <br />ninety (90) days of use by owner. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to installation of the work of this Section, carefully inspect and verify that installed work <br />of all other trades is complete to the point where this installation may properly commence. <br />B. Verify that specified items may be installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. Field Measurements: The Contractor shall take field measurements for this work and be <br />responsible for same. In event of discrepancy, immediately notify the Contractor. Do not <br />proceed in discrepant areas until discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary to the approval of the <br />3 <br />
