CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT <br />Section 04300 <br />15-1207 <br />invited. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to Section 01300. <br />B. Manufacturer's Data: Submit list and complete descriptive data of all products proposed for <br />use. Include manufacturer's specifications, published warranty or guarantee, installation <br />instructions, maintenance instructions, and Material Certificates for masonry units, <br />reinforcement, anchors and ties, mortar and grout. <br />C. Samples: The following samples are required. Submit per Section 01300. <br />1. Submit four (4) minimum samples for each type of masonry unit to Architect for review of <br />texture and color range. <br />2. Specified range of Manufacturer's colors for Architect's selection. <br />D. Mix Designs <br />Mix designs and test results for all mortar and grout conforming to requirements herein <br />and TMS 602-11 Section 1.5. <br />E. Mock-up: Construct a sample panel of all masonry wall types, including color and texture, <br />having a minimum dimension of 6 feet by 6 feet, in the specified bond pattern, to be <br />approved by Owner's Representatives, Project Inspector and Architect. The mock-up is to <br />be built on a stable foundation as required to support the panel(s) during the duration of the <br />project and is not to be an integral part of the construction, and is to remain on site for <br />comparison to the CMU installation, including cleaning, and the application of the water <br />repellent and anti -graffiti coating. <br />1. Do not construct the panel(s) prior to approval of submitted samples for texture and <br />color. <br />2. The assembly is to include, but is not necessarily limited to the following, as applicable <br />to the project: <br />a. Color, texture and accent banding. <br />b. Reinforcing steel. <br />C. Expansion joint, control joint, and sealant. <br />d. Mortar joint type, color, tooling and workmanship. <br />e. Tolerances of unit sizes, and level and plumb workmanship. <br />f. Flashing, including cap flashing. <br />g. Weep holes and end dams. <br />h. Air and vapor barrier. <br />3. After Mock-up is constructed and approved, the same cleaning procedure to be <br />performed on the building is to be performed on the sample panel(s), leaving a portion <br />un -cleaned. <br />4 <br />
