CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT <br />Section 04300 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 01400, Testing Laboratory Services. <br />B. Section 03000, Site Concrete <br />C. Section 03200, Concrete Reinforcement. <br />D. Section 03300, Cast -In -Place Concrete. <br />E. Section 05100, Structural Steel. <br />F. Section 07180, Water Repellants & Anti -Graffiti Coatings. <br />G. Section 07900, Joint Sealants, for rod and sealant at control and expansion joints. <br />H. Section 09900, Painting. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only newly manufactured products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Project Inspector. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />D. Special Inspection: Coordinate with Owner's special inspector of building structural masonry <br />construction in compliance with 2013 CBC Section 1704A.2. See Section 04300, Article 1.09 <br />for additional requirements. <br />E. Tests: See Section 01400 and Section 04300 Article 1.08 for required structural masonry <br />tests. <br />F. Pre -Installation Conference: Convene conference among Owner's Representative, <br />Contractor, Architect, Structural Engineer, Project Inspector and Special Inspector at least <br />one week prior to beginning work of this Section. Discussion is to include, but not limited to, <br />the requirements for the Mock-up, and confirmation of the location and construction of control <br />/ expansion joints. At the Owner's option, a third party expert in CMU construction may be <br />
