Edges shall be hemmed neatly. <br />2.02 MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS <br />A. Provide all miscellaneous steel shapes, braces, supports, anchors, bolts, etc., not specified <br />or shown elsewhere, but required for erection and completion of work, including <br />miscellaneous metal items shown under mechanical or electrical work, except as specifically <br />noted otherwise. <br />1. Metal backing plates, anchor plates, etc. required for anchorage of mechanical and <br />electrical fixtures and equipment to lightgage metal framing shall be furnished and <br />installed by those trades. <br />2. Miscellaneous metal items embedded in concrete shall be furnished to the respective <br />trades for installation thereunder. Furnish setting templates and/or proper execution of <br />work. <br />2.03 CONNECTIONS <br />A. Except where bolted connections are shown, weld all joints and assemblies. Welds not <br />shown on drawings shall be designed to meet intended use of item or assembly. <br />B. Sizes of bolts, screws or other threaded fasteners or anchorage not shown on drawings shall <br />be of size required to meet intended use of item or assembly. <br />2.04 GALVANIZING <br />A. The following items shall be hot dip galvanized after fabrication: <br />1. All exterior items including those penetrating wall and only with partial exposure to <br />exterior. <br />2. All items embedded in or anchored to concrete at exterior of building, even if not <br />directly exposed or visible. <br />3. Only those interior items that are so noted shall be galvanized. <br />2.05 ASSEMBLIES <br />A. Fabrication, material and installation shall be as indicated and as specified. Examine <br />Drawings for additional work required. <br />B. Angle frames and supports attached to or embedded in concrete construction shall be <br />galvanized after fabrication. <br />C. Ladders: <br />1. Fabricate ladders for locations shown with dimensions, spacing, details and <br />anchorages as indicated. <br />2. Comply with requirements of ASNI A14.3 except as otherwise indicated. <br />3. Fit rungs in centerline of flat bar type side rails. At flat bar type side rails, plug -weld, <br />and grind smooth as outer rail faces. <br />4. Support each ladder at top and bottom, and at intermediate points spaced not more <br />than 60" on centers. Use welded or bolted steel brackets designed for adequate <br />n <br />
