BUILDING INSULATION <br />Section 07210 <br />15-1207 <br />2.03 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS <br />A. Vent Chutes: Perforated, lightweight, 22"x48" Airmate Foam Vent as distributed by CSI <br />Supply (877) 786-2901 or approved equal. Manufactured to fit 16" or 24" on -center rafters. <br />Cardboard vent chutes will not be allowed. <br />B. All other materials, such as additional insulation materials, fasteners, line wire, tape and <br />retainers, not specifically described but required for a complete and proper installation of <br />building insulation, shall be as selected by the Contractor subject to submittal approvals. <br />Additional insulation materials shall be selected from manufacturer's standard materials <br />and shall conform to the specified Codes, Standards and performance requirements as <br />indicated on the Drawings or as required for the complete and proper construction of <br />the building envelope. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to all work of this Section, carefully inspect and verify that the installed work of all other <br />trades is complete to the point where this installation may commence. <br />B. In the event of discrepancy, immediately notify the Architect. Do not proceed with installation <br />in discrepant areas until all such discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 LOCATIONS <br />A. Provide building insulation as follows: <br />1. Exterior framed wall; Thermal Batt Insulation. <br />2. Wood framed ceiling/roof: Thermal Batt Insulation. <br />3. Steel framed roof: Board insulation above deck. <br />4. Underside metal deck floors (with unconditioned space below): Board Insulation, 3" <br />thick. <br />5. Interior Partitions: Sound Batt Insulation. <br />6. Other locations shown, indicated or noted. <br />B. Provide Sound Attenuation Insulation at all toilet walls adjoining other rooms, toilet chase <br />walls and as indicated on drawings. Extend vertically to highest adjacent roof/ceiling. <br />C. Insulation in walls shall extend the full horizontal length of all exterior walls and vertically to <br />the highest adjacent roof/ceiling. Install wall and ceiling insulation to create complete thermal <br />enclosure around habitated space. <br />3.03 INSTALLATION AT EXTERIOR WALLS <br />A. Comply with manufacturer's instruction for particular conditions of installation in each case. <br />B. Mechanical Fasteners: Apply insulation directly to the interior surface of the exterior wall with <br />appropriate spindle or prong -type anchors. <br />4 <br />
