Provide where <br />reglet and flashing system is terminated or is discontinuous, with sealant per <br />manufacturer's requirements. <br />L. Flashing Membrane: Dupont, FlexWrapTM, 70 mil butyl sealant, moldable flashing tape or <br />approved equal. <br />M. Galvanized Metal Repair Compound: "ZRC Galvalite", single component, high zinc dust <br />content (zinc rich) repair compound for iron, steel and galvanized metal as manufactured by <br />ZRC Worldwide or approved equal. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to installation of the work of this Section, carefully inspect and verify that installed work <br />of all other trades is complete to the point where this installation may properly commence. <br />B. Verify that specified items may be installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. In event of discrepancy, immediately notify Architect. Do not proceed in discrepant areas <br />until discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 WORKMANSHIP, FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION <br />A. Specifications herein are minimum. Provide such extra materials and workmanship as <br />necessary to obtain required results. Install work in accord with recognized standards and <br />best trade practices. <br />B. Where work is not otherwise shown or specified, conform to details and requirements set <br />forth in the referenced SMACNA Manual. <br />C. Where materials or construction systems are specified with reference to a particular <br />manufacturer (such as, reglets & flashing, sealants and waterproof membranes), make <br />installations in strict accord with the approved manufacturer's installation instruction. <br />D. Except where otherwise noted or specified, sheet metal work shall be galvanized sheet metal. <br />Make cleats and edge strips of the same metal as items with which they are used and in <br />contact. <br />E. Accurately reproduce profiles and bends; make intersections even and true. Make plain <br />surfaces free from buckles and waves with as few joints as possible. Reinforce work as <br />required for strength and appearance. <br />F. Bend metals to minimum radius as recommended by manufacturer for thickness used (in <br />general, the radius shall be not less than the thickness of assembly) and in accordance with <br />the referenced SMACNA Manual. <br />G. Provide for proper expansion and contraction caused by thermal or building movement. <br />Make joints tight. Conceal nails and other fastenings where possible. Face nailing through <br />exposed surfaces is not permitted unless specifically shown. Secure exposed edges to <br />4 <br />
