SHEET METAL <br />Section 07600 <br />15-1207 <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Galvanized Sheet Metal (GSM): Hot -dip galvanized copper -bearing steel. ASTM A653, 1.25 <br />oz. psf Commercial Class; 24 ga. except where otherwise shown. <br />B. Lead: Fed. Spec. QQ-L-201, grade B. 4 Ib/sf min. <br />C. Nails: Hot -dip galvanized annular thread, "stronghold" type. <br />D. Solder: ASTM B32, Class Al. <br />E. Flux: Muriatic acid. <br />F. Asphaltic primer: ASTM D41. Type as recommended by membrane roofing manufacturer <br />where sheet metal work is in contact with membrane roofing materials. <br />G. Plastic cement: Asphaltic, FS SS -C-153, Type I. <br />H. Sealants: <br />1. Non -hardening, non -sagging one part sealant per FS TT -S-230, Geocel 2000 or <br />accepted equal, unless otherwise indicated. <br />2. At metal flashings for Traffic -Bearing Deck Surfacing: Sikaflex 1A, Sonneborn NP1, or <br />accepted equal. <br />I. Prefinished Metal Parapet Cap and Prefinished Edge Metal Fascia: <br />1. Provide tested parapet coping cap and Edge Metal Fascia system in conformance with <br />referenced SMACNA Manual. The coping cap system is to be tested and approved per <br />ANSI/SPRI ES -1 to meet the California Building Code, as manufactured by The <br />Garland Company, Inc., Metal -Era, Inc., Hickman Metals, or accepted equal. <br />2. The system is to be provided by the roof system manufacturer as part of a complete <br />system and be installed by roofing installer. <br />3. Material: <br />a. Parapet Cap: 22 gauge steel. <br />b. Edge Metal Fascia: 24 gauge steel. <br />4. Finish: Kynar finished; Color to be selected by the Architect from manufacturer's <br />standard 16 colors. <br />J. Sheet Metal Cladding: Manufacturer's recommended cladding for sheet metal at single ply <br />roof. <br />K. Reglet & Counter Flashing: Fry Reglet Springlok Flashing System, 24 gauge (LI.O.N.) <br />galvanized steel with standard zinc finish, as manufactured by Fry Reglet Corporation, or <br />accepted equal. Provide appropriate reglet for given condition, unless otherwise shown. <br />1. Reglets: <br />a. Type 'STX' Stucco Reglet at plaster. <br />b. Type 'MA -4' Masonry Reglet at masonry. <br />C. Type 'SM' Surface Mounted Reglet where shown. <br />2. Counter Flashing: 'Springlok' counter flashing, finish to match reglet. <br />3 <br />
