SHEET METAL <br />Section 07600 <br />15-1207 <br />Make any repairs necessary to the satisfaction of the Architect and Owner to <br />assure that gutters do not leak. <br />2. Conductors: Construct of 16 gauge gsm in sizes and profiles as shown on drawings. <br />3. Finish: Gutters and leader boxes shall be pre -finished metal, baked enamel with <br />custom color. Field touch up as required. <br />V. Downspouts: <br />1. Round downspouts where shown to be schedule 40 galvanized pipe. Secure to wall or <br />column with mounts as detailed. Grind smooth, apply Galvanized Metal Repair <br />Compound and touch up and paint all surfaces. Provide transition pieces in same <br />gauge material as downspouts as required at top and bottom. No light -weight or light <br />gauge material will be permitted. <br />2. Finish: Downspouts shall be pre -finished metal, baked enamel with custom color. Field <br />touch up as required. <br />3. At completion of downspout installation verify that downspout connections at gutter and <br />at grade do not leak utilizing a garden hose or other means to water test downspouts. <br />Make any repairs necessary to the satisfaction of the Architect and Owner to assure <br />that downspouts do not leak. <br />W. Clad Metal Flashings: Install clad flashing wherever new flashing material attaches to single <br />ply roofing system or where shown on drawings. Flashing to be as required by the roofing <br />manufacturer for proper bonding of material. <br />X. Reglet and Counter Flashing: Install per manufacturer's recommendations, using fasteners <br />and sealant as required by manufacturer. <br />Y. Apply waterproof membrane at all horizontal plaster surfaces, under all horizontal sheet metal <br />flashing at curbs, parapet caps, etc. and as shown on drawings. Install in shingle fashion in <br />direction of water flow with 2" minimum, fully adhered laps. <br />3.03 CLEANING <br />A. Upon completion of installation, remove manufacturer's temporary labels, and marks of <br />identification. Thoroughly wash surfaces and remove foreign material. Leave entire work in <br />neat, orderly, clean and acceptable condition. Replace damage parts and surfaces which are <br />not free from imperfections. <br />3.04 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation, and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary to the approval of the <br />Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />7 <br />
