ROOF & SMOKE HATCHES <br />& VENTS <br />Section 07830 <br />15-1207 <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code. <br />B. Standards: Comply with Cal -OSHA, titles 21 and 24 CCR and SMACNA "Architectural Sheet <br />Metal Manual" details for fabrication of units. Comply with "NRCA Roofing and <br />Waterproofing Manual" details for installation of units. <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written <br />recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />1.08 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Product shall be available at project when required for installation so as not to delay job <br />progress. Cooperate with installers performing work under other Sections involved to effect <br />proper installation. <br />1.09 COORDINATION <br />A. Coordinate dimensions and layout with roof framing to ensure proper opening size, curb <br />layout, flashings and roofing. <br />B. Coordinate with electrical for intrusion alarm requirements. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MANUFACTURER <br />A. The BILCO Company, P.O. Box 1203, New Haven, CT 06505, <br />1-203-934-6363, Fax: 1-203-933-8478, Web: www.bilco.com or approved equal. <br />2.02 ROOF HATCH <br />A. Roof Hatch: Type S, 14 gauge paint bond G-90 galvanized steel size: width: 3'-0" x length: <br />2'-6". Length denotes hinge side. The roof hatch shall be single leaf and come pre - <br />assembled from the manufacturer. Cover shall be reinforced to support a minimum live load <br />of 40 psf with a maximum deflection of 1/1 50th of the span or 20 psf wind uplift.
