METAL DOORS & FRAMES <br />Section 08100 <br />15-1207 <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />C. Guarantee doors and frames from defects in materials and workmanship including twisting, <br />buckling or warping. <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code. <br />B. NFPA 80, Standards for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives. <br />C. American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A250.7 "Nomenclature for Steel Doors and <br />Steel Door Frames". <br />D. Hollow Metal Manufacturers Association (HMMA) recommended standards for hollow metal <br />doors and frames <br />E. Recommended Locations for Builder's Hardware, Door and Hardware Institute. <br />F. ANSI/DHI A115, Hardware Preparation in Hollow Metal Doors and Frames. <br />1.07 FIRE RESISTIVE LABELS <br />A. Labeled Doors: Conform with UL requirements; doors shall bear label for fire resistive rating <br />indicated. <br />B. Labeled Frames: Construct frames for labeled openings per UL or Warnock Hersey <br />requirements and their listings. Provide UL metal label, pop -riveted to door and frame, for fire <br />resistive rating indicated. Do not paint over labels. <br />C. Doors and Frames to be in compliance with UL 10B for Fire Test of Door Assemblies and UL <br />10C for Positive Pressure Fire Tests of Door Assemblies. <br />1.08 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in an upright position, protected under cover, dry conditions at least 4 inches <br />off the ground and in areas so as to not interfere with the progress of the work. Doors with <br />dents or other defects not repairable will be rejected. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict conformance with the manufacturer's written <br />recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />2 <br />
