Coordinate installation of <br />anchors and grouting of frames with other trades. <br />3. At all exterior wall locations where frame is installed in a wall with a concrete curb base, <br />fill the bottom void of the frame with non -shrink grout to match the height of the <br />concrete curb. Repair all frame modifications to a blemish free new condition. Do not <br />cut or modify the frame if it conflicts with the concrete curb. If concrete curb conflicts <br />with frame, adjust or modify curb as required." <br />4. Anchor to floor slab with powder type actuated fasteners through floor anchors attached <br />to frames. <br />5. Anchor securely to metal studs with four (4) No. 12 sheet metal screws per anchor. <br />6. Anchor continuous nailing flange securely to wood studs with four (4) No. 12 x 2" flat <br />head wood screws per anchor. Attach anchor straps at interior side and all interior <br />straps with four (4) 10d ring shank nails per anchor. <br />7. Seal perimeter of frames to fill space between frame and adjoining material. Seal all <br />exterior, exposed fastener heads to make waterproof. Sealant materials and <br />application shall conform to applicable requirements of Section 07900. <br />8. When installing new frames in existing openings, remove existing finishes sufficiently to <br />properly install and adequately fasten new frame. Prepare openings as required to <br />receive new frame. Provide misc. shimming, blocking, backing, straps, etc. to fully <br />prepare opening for new frame. Patch and repair surfaces when completed to match <br />adjacent finishes. <br />C. Except for frames installed in metal and wood stud walls or existing walls, grout all other <br />frames solid using mortar type grout only. When temperature conditions necessitate an <br />additive be used in grout to prevent freezing as frames are installed, installer of frames shall <br />coat inside of frames with corrosion inhibiting bituminous material. <br />D. Install door flashing system components as described in this specification, indicated in <br />drawings and as recommended by the flashing manufacturer. <br />E. Doors: Hang with clearances noted in Section 08710, Finish Hardware, unless otherwise <br />indicated or required for rated assemblies. Apply hardware in conformance with SDI -100 and <br />the manufacturer's written instructions. <br />F. Removable Glazing Stops: Install with tamperproof screws, with sealant at penetrations to <br />pressed metal frame. <br />G. Louvers: Install with tamperproof screws as provided by the manufacturer. <br />H. Coordinate installation of hardware including installation of intrusion detection system <br />components and wiring. <br />Intrusion alarm: Coordinate wiring and sensor installation with electrical. <br />3.03 ADJUST AND CLEAN <br />A. Prime Coat Touch-up: Immediately after erection, sand smooth any rusted or damaged <br />areas of prime coat and apply touch-up of compatible air -drying primer. <br />B. Immediately prior to punch list walk-through, check and re -adjust operating finish hardware <br />items, leaving metal doors and frames undamaged and in complete operating condition. <br />7 <br />
