Factory Fittings and Machining: Doors shall be factory machined for hardware and shall be <br />pre -fit to net sizes. Contractor shall finish the following information to door manufacturer. <br />Approved metal buck schedule, shop details, approved hardware schedule, IW of templates <br />required, approved floor plan, door schedule, approved hardware templates for each type of <br />hardware requiring machining, if requested. (Metal frames improperly set shall be corrected <br />by Contractor to receive factory -fit door. Door manufacturer will be responsible for properly <br />coordinating information received by him so that doors are properly finished, machined, <br />glazed, ready to hang.) <br />F. Provide minimum 5-112" wide x suitably sized lengths of solid wood inner blocking at all <br />hardware locations in mineral core, labeled doors that are to rive surface mounted <br />hardware, or mortised or bored locksets and exit devices. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION , <br />A. Prior to installation of the worts of this Section, carefully inspect and verify that the installed <br />work of all other trades is complete to the point where this installation may properly <br />commence. <br />B. Verify that specified items may be installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. In the event of discrepancy, imm a notify Architect. Do not proceed in discrepant areas <br />until discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install wood doors in compliance with manufacturer's recommendations. Manufacturer's <br />instructions shall be made available to inspecting authorities. <br />B. Prim or seal tops and bottoms of doors immediately upon delivery, unless factory seated. <br />C. Before finishing, exposed portions shall have handling marks or effects of exposure to <br />moisture removed with thorough, final sanding over all surfaces of exposed portions, using at <br />least 150 grit or finer sandpaper, and shall be cleaned before applying sealer or finish. Deep <br />scratches must be steamed out to satisfaction of Architect before finishing. <br />D. After cutting and fitting for hardware, but before hardware inIstallation, seal all faces and <br />edges. <br />E. After hinging, the maximum allowable clearances shall be 118 inch at both sides and top, 114 <br />inch over thresholds, and 112 inch at other locations unless otherwise shown. <br />F. Removable Glazing Stops: install with tamperproof screws, with sealant at penetrations to <br />pressed metal frame. AW <br />G.
