ACCESS DOORS & PANELS <br />Section 08305 <br />15-1207 <br />2. Finish: Chemically bonded with a prime coat of baked -on electrostatic powder. <br />3. Hinge: Special, double-acting concealed spring hinges opening to 175 degrees. <br />4. Lock: Cylinder lock with two keys. <br />C. Keying: All doors shall be keyed alike. Provide minimum 2 keys for each door at end of <br />project to District. <br />D. Size: Provide minimum 22" x 30" doors or larger if a larger opening is required for maintaining or <br />replacing an item. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install access doors in accord with door manufacturer's printed instructions. Completed <br />installation shall operate smoothly. <br />B. Provide access doors at locations shown on drawings, as noted and as required to access <br />all equipment requiring maintenance, replacement or inspection including but not <br />limited to smoke/heat detectors, fire dampers, clean -outs, valves, etc. See Mechanical <br />and Electrical plans for equipment locations. Access doors for these conditions ARE NOT <br />SHOWN ON PLANS. <br />C. Coordinate location with structure, fixtures and equipment. Provide layout for approval prior <br />to framing openings. <br />D. Provide doors in walls/ceiling appropriate to type of assembly. <br />E. Field paint doors per section 09900. <br />3.02 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary to the approval of the <br />Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />3.03 CLEANING AND REPAIRING <br />A. Touch up damaged areas in shop primed surfaces which will be concealed after erection. <br />Leave in condition fit for finish painting by other trades. Repair or replace defective materials <br />as directed.
