SKYLIGHTS & LIGHT <br />CONTROL LOUVERS <br />Section 08621 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Coordinate with installation of roofing system and related flashings. <br />C. Provide weather tight installation. Install glazing, gaskets and retaining rings for complete <br />weather tight assembly. <br />D. Inspect curb framing and roof flashing to assure that installation can proceed in accordance <br />with reviewed shop drawings and contract documents. <br />E. Installation to be by the skylight manufacturer or by an authorized representative in accord <br />with reviewed shop drawings. <br />F. Install perimeter frames level, plumb, and square on a bed of non -hardening butyl or silicone <br />sealant. Securely fasten frames to curb by approved tamper -proof mechanical fasteners with <br />neoprene gasket heads. <br />G. Coordinate installation of skylight with operable louvers. <br />3.03 ELECTROLYTIC PROTECTION <br />A. Separate dissimilar metals from each other by painting each surface in area of contract with <br />bituminous coating, or other permanent separation as recommended by manufacturers of the <br />dissimilar materials. <br />3.04 CLEANING & ADJUSTING <br />A. Upon completion of installation, remove manufacturer's temporary labels, marks of <br />identification. Thoroughly wash surfaces and remove foreign material. Leave entire work in <br />neat, orderly, clean and acceptable condition. Replace damaged parts and surfaces which are <br />not free from imperfections. <br />B. Adjust all louvers, and other moving parts to operate smoothly and without binding or jamming. <br />C. Upon completion of installation and as a condition of its acceptance, instruct Owner's <br />personnel, as Owner directs, in the operation and maintenance of the light control louvers. <br />3.05 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation, and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary to the approval of the <br />Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />C.
