FINISH HARDWARE <br />Section 08710 <br />15-1207 <br />C. Samples: The following samples are required. Submit per Section 01300. <br />Submit physical sample of each item of hardware substituted for specified item or its <br />listed acceptable alternate. Clearly mark each sample to indicate name of item, brand <br />name, manufacturer's catalog number and item for which it is substituted. Submit with <br />finish hardware schedule. Approved samples may be used in work. Rejected samples <br />will be returned and specified item or its acceptable alternate shall be provided. <br />D. Hardware Schedule: Submit completely detailed finish hardware schedule, in vertical format. <br />Reference hardware headings to groups specified and clearly indicate door type or mark <br />location, hand, size, material and fire rating if applicable. <br />E. List Manufacturer's names and numbers for items used in schedule to facilitate checking for <br />compliance. Submit schedules within 35 days of award of contract. <br />F. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.05. <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code. <br />B. ANSI standards A115 and A156 are to be used to define quality standards for Finish <br />Hardware. <br />C. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities. <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact, marked to correspond with Finish Hardware Schedule. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />E. Any items of hardware requiring fabricator installation: Deliver as directed by General <br />Contractor. Storage and protection of Finish Hardware, once delivered as directed, is <br />responsibility of General Contractor. <br />2 <br />
