ACOUSTICAL CEILINGS <br />Section 09510 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 05310, Metal Roof Deck. <br />B. Section 06100, Rough Carpentry. <br />C. Section 09250, Gypsum Wallboard. <br />D. Section 11131 Projection Screens and Projector Mounts. <br />E. Division 15, Mechanical Work. <br />F. Division 16, Electrical Work. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />B. Single -Source Responsibility: Provide acoustical panel units and grid components by a single <br />manufacturer. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />D. Fire Performance Characteristics: Identify acoustical ceiling components with appropriate <br />markings of applicable testing and inspecting organization. Provide copy of Underwriters' <br />Laboratories, Inc. certification for tested, labeled and listed steel grid members and acoustical <br />panels to meet time -design fire endurance rating of one hour, or more as indicated on <br />drawings, for combined suspended acoustical ceiling and floor or roof assemblies shown. <br />Assembly shall have been approved by State Fire Marshal by date of bid opening. <br />E. Surface Burning Characteristics: As follows, tested per ASTM E 84 and complying with ASTM <br />E 1264 for Class A products. <br />1. Flame Spread: 25 or less <br />2. Smoke Developed: 50 or less <br />F. Seismic Performance: Provide acoustical ceiling system that has been evaluated by an <br />independent party and found to be compliant with the California Building Code, current <br />edition, Seismic Categories D, E, and F. <br />
