LINOLEUM FLOOR COVERING <br />Section 09654 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Do not apply materials on wet or damp surfaces. <br />C. Defer laying until other work that might cause damage to flooring has been completed. <br />1.09 QUALIFICATIONS <br />A. Environmental Requirements/Conditions: In accordance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations, Areas to receive flooring should be clean, fully enclosed and weathertight <br />with the permanent HVAC system operational and set at a minimum of 68o F (20o C) for a <br />minimum of 7 days prior to, during, and 7 days after the installation. The flooring material <br />should be conditioned in the same manner for at least 48 hours prior to the installation. <br />Maximum temperature should not exceed 100 degrees F after installation. Areas to receive <br />flooring shall be adequately lighted to allow for proper inspection of the substrate, installation <br />and seaming of the flooring, and for final inspection. <br />B. Temperature Requirements: Maintain air temperature in spaces where products will be <br />installed for time period before, during, and after installation as recommended by <br />manufacturer. <br />Temperature Conditions: 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) for 7 days prior to, during and <br />after installation. <br />PART 2 -PRODUCTS <br />2.01 LINOLEUM SHEET FLOORING MATERIALS <br />A. Proprietary Product(s): Marmoleum Marmoleum Real, Marmoleum Fresco, Marmoleum <br />Vivace, Marmoleum Piano, Marmoleum Mineral, Marmoleum Striato Linoleum Sheet and <br />Linoleum Adhesive as manufactured by Forbo Flooring Systems. <br />1. Description: Homogeneous sheet linoleum of primarily natural materials consisting of <br />linseed oil, wood flour, and rosin binders, mixed and calendered onto natural jute <br />backing. Pattern and color shall extend throughout total thickness of material. <br />2. Width: 79" (2 Meters). <br />3. Length: 105 Linear Feet (32 Meters). <br />4. Gauge: 1/10" (2.5 mm) <br />5. Backing: Jute. <br />6. Pattern and Color: As selected by Architect from manufacturer's standard patterns and <br />colors. <br />7. Heat Welding Rod: Forbo Flooring, Inc., Marmoweld color -matched solid color or multi- <br />color welding rod. <br />8. TopshieldTM finish <br />a. Architect to select more than one color. Pattern per Architect. <br />2.02 WALL BASE MATERIALS <br />A. Rubber Base: "Pinnacle" Type TS, thermoset vulcanized rubber, standard toe base, 4" tall, <br />ASTM F-1861 rubber base as manufactured by Roppe, Flexco (Type TS equivalent) or <br />approved equal. Provide rubber base for resilient flooring and carpet. Cope inside corners <br />and wrap outside corners. Preformed exterior corners are not acceptable. Provide base in <br />3 <br />
