RESILIENT SHEET LINOLEUM <br />MULTI-PURPOSE & SPORT FLOORING <br />SECTION 09656 <br />15-1207 <br />E. Installer Qualifications: <br />1. At least five years' experience in the installation of sport resilient multi-purpose flooring. <br />2. Experience on at least five projects of similar size, type and complexity as this project. <br />1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Store flooring and installation materials in protected dry spaces, with ambient temperatures <br />maintained within range recommended by manufacturer, but not less than 55 deg F (13 deg <br />C) nor more than 85 deg F (29 deg C). <br />B. Store the indoor resilient surfacing rolls in an upright position on a smooth flat surface imme- <br />diately upon delivery to Project. <br />1.07 FIELD CONDITIONS <br />A. Product Installation: <br />1. Maintain temperatures during installation within range recommended by manufacturer, <br />but not less than 65 deg F (18 deg C) in spaces to receive flooring for 48 hours prior, <br />during and 48 hours after installation. <br />2. After installation, maintain temperatures within range recommended by manufacturer, <br />but not less than 55 deg F (13 deg C) or more than 85 deg F (29 deg C). <br />3. Install flooring and accessories after the other finishing operations, including painting, <br />lights, HVAC, doors, have been completed. Close spaces to traffic during the installa- <br />tion of the flooring. <br />4. Do not install flooring over concrete slabs until they are sufficiently dry to achieve a <br />bond with the adhesive, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended bond, <br />moisture tests and pH test. <br />a. Moisture testing should be done by a GC or Owner supplied independent testing <br />inspector per ASTM F2170 & ASTM F710. <br />5. Do not install flooring until other trades have provided a substrate suitable for resilient <br />flooring per ASTM F710. <br />6. Do not install flooring until substrate is clean and flat to within 1/8" in 10' & acceptable to <br />the flooring installation technician. If the substrate is unacceptable report to prime con- <br />tractor for immediate correction by those trades responsible for substrate finishing. <br />7. Install flooring per manufacturer instructions and industry standards. <br />a. All seams are to be heat welded. Do not chemical weld seams. <br />8. Paint game lines per game line paint manufacturer instructions. <br />1.08 WARRANTY <br />A. Limited Warranty: Manufacturer's standard form in which manufacturer agrees to repair or re- <br />place flooring that is proven defective within specified warranty period. <br />2 <br />
