CARPETING <br />Section 09680 <br />15-1207 <br />1. Submit sample for each type of carpet (approximately 18" x 18") and edge strip <br />(minimum 6" length) to Architect for review. <br />2. Manufacturer's full range of colors for Architect's selection (minimum 16). Architect <br />may select more than one color. <br />3. Submit 18" x 18" samples of carpet(s) in selected color(s), if requested. <br />D. Shop Drawings: Submit showing all parts, connections and anchorages, adjacent materials, <br />fully dimensioned and noted. Show layout of each area to be covered with location of seams <br />and edge strips. <br />E. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.05. <br />F. Maintenance and Operating Manual: Include manufacturer's written recommendations for <br />care, cleaning and maintenance of each type of carpet installed. <br />1.05 GUARANTEE <br />A. Refer to General Conditions and Section 01300. <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />C. Guarantees: Published Warranty by manufacturer for: <br />The warranty shall cover against and specifically define the following: <br />a. Excessive Surface Wear: More than 15% loss of pile fiber weight <br />b. Excessive Static Electricity: More than 3.0 kV per AATCC 134 <br />C. Delamination <br />e. Edge Ravel <br />f. Zippering <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. California Green Building Standards Code, current edition, as adopted by the California <br />Division of the State Architect (DSA). <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />1.08 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A.
