COMPOSITE TOILET PARTITIONS <br />Section 10170 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 06100, Rough Carpentry [OR] Section 05400, Cold Formed Metal Framing <br />B. Section 09250, Gypsum Wallboard. <br />C. Section 09300, Ceramic Tile. <br />D. Section 10800, Toilet Accessories. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />1.04 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Graffiti Resistance: Partition material shall have the following graffiti removal characteristics <br />when tested in accordance with ASTM D6578-00 Standard Practice for Determination of <br />Graffiti Resistance in accordance with Section 9, "Graffiti Removal Procedure Using Manual <br />Solvent Rubs" <br />Cleanability: Five (5) required staining agents shall be cleaned off material. <br />B. Scratch Resistance: Partition material shall have the following characteristics when tested in <br />accordance with ASTM D2197-98(2002) Standard Test Method for Adhesion of Organic <br />Coating by Scrape Adhesion, using Gardner Stock #PA-2197/ST pointed stylus attachment <br />on scrape tester: Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. 1090 Sierra Series® Partitions <br />Specification — 12/3/08 Page 2 of 6 <br />1. Scratch Resistance: Maximum Load Value shall exceed 10 kilograms. <br />C. Impact Resistance: Partition material shall have the following characteristics when tested in <br />accordance with ASTM D2794-93(1999) Standard Test Method for Resistance of Organic <br />Coating to the Effects of Rapid Deformation (Impact), using .625" hemispherical indenter <br />with 2 -Ib impact weight: <br />Impact Resistance: Maximum Impact Force value shall exceed 30 inch -lbs. <br />
