FLAGPOLE <br />Section 10350 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Internal Halyard, Winch System: 1/8 inch (3mm) stainless steel aircraft cable with plastic <br />coated counterweight and beaded sling assembly. Manually operated mechanical winch <br />having automatic brake system and operated with a removable hand crank. Winch shall be <br />concealed inside the flagpole behind a flush access door having a cylinder lock and <br />continuous piano hinge. <br />C. Halyard Flag Snaps: Provide 4 -chrome plated bronze, swivel snap hooks. <br />D. Collar: Manufacturer standard spun aluminum flash collar to match flagpole. <br />2.05 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS <br />A. Concrete: Comply with requirements of Division 3, Section 03300. <br />2.06 FINISHES <br />A. Metal Finishes, General: Comply with NAAMM's "Metal Finishes Manual for Architectural <br />and Metal Products", for recommendations for applying and designating finishes. <br />B. Aluminum: Finish designations prefixed by AA conform to the system established by the <br />Aluminum Association for designating aluminum finishes. <br />Natural Satin Finish: Provide directional -sanded finish (AA -M33); buff complying with <br />AA -M20. <br />2.07 OTHER MATERIALS <br />A. All other materials, not specifically described but required for a complete and proper <br />installation of the work of this Section, shall be as selected by the Contractor subject to <br />approval. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to installation, carefully inspect and verify that the installed work of other trades is <br />complete to the point where this installation may properly commence. <br />B. Verify that flagpoles may be installed in strict accordance with original design, all applicable <br />codes and regulations, and the approved Shop Drawings. <br />C. In the event of discrepancy, immediately notify the Architect. Do not proceed in discrepant <br />areas until discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 PREPARATION <br />A. Excavation: For foundations, excavate to neat clean lines in undisturbed soil. Remove loose <br />soil and foreign matter from excavation and moisten earth before placing concrete. <br />B.
