SIGNS <br />Section 10445 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 01350, Environmental Requirements. <br />B. Division 15, Mechanical. <br />C. Division 16, Electrical. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />D. The adhesion of inlaid letters and symbols will be tested. See article 1.06 below. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to Section 01300. <br />B. Manufacturer's Data: Submit list and complete descriptive data of all products proposed for <br />use. Include manufacturer's specifications, published warranty or guarantee, installation <br />instructions, and maintenance instructions. <br />C. Samples: The following samples are required. Submit per Section 01300. <br />1. Submit sample for each type of material and letter font to Architect for review in full- <br />size sample sign as described below. <br />2. Manufacturer's full range of colors for Architect's selection. <br />3. Submit full size sample of room identification signs. <br />4. Submit full-size sample of other signs when requested by Architect <br />D. Shop Drawings: Show all parts, connections and anchorages, adjacent materials, fully <br />dimensioned and noted. Include dimensioned layout and installation details for field <br />installation. <br />E. Submit executed Guarantee of Contractor/Subcontractor per Article 1.06. <br />1.05 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. California Building Code, current edition, as adopted by the California Division of the State <br />Architect (DSA). <br />1 <br />
