METAL LOCKERS <br />Section 10500 <br />15-1207 <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. General: Install in strict conformance with referenced standards, the manufacturers written <br />directions, as shown on the drawings and as herein specified. <br />B. Placement: Install lockers plumb, level, rigid, flush, securely attached to wall (or bolted <br />together if back to back) and anchored to the floor or base according to manufacturer's <br />written specifications. <br />C. Anchorage: 48 inches o.c., unless otherwise recommended by manufacturer, and where <br />necessary to avoid metal distortion, using concealed fasteners. Friction clips are not <br />acceptable. <br />D. Trim: Install sloping tops, filler panels and end panels, using concealed fasteners. Provide <br />flush, hairline joints against adjacent surfaces. <br />E. Benches: Install as shown in accordance with manufacturer's directions. Provide pedestals <br />12 inches from each end and 4 feet on center minimum. <br />3.03 ADJUSTMENT AND CLEANING <br />A. Upon completion of installation, remove manufacturer's temporary labels, marks of <br />identification. Thoroughly wash surfaces and remove foreign material. Leave entire work in <br />neat, orderly, clean and acceptable condition. Replace damaged parts and surfaces which <br />are not free from imperfections. Tough up scratches and blemishes in finish. <br />B. Remove fingerprints, stains and the like from surfaces. <br />C. Adjust doors to provide uniform clearances and to assure smooth operations. <br />D. Adjust hardware for proper operation. <br />3.04 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation, and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary to the approval of the <br />Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />C. Exposed finishes shall be free from scratches, dents, permanent discolorations and other <br />defects in workmanship or material. <br />3.05 EXTRA STOCK <br />A. Furnish 2% additional doors for each type, size and color, unless otherwise indicated. <br />Include hinge pins as required for each door. <br />n <br />
