FIRE EXTINGUISHERS & CABINETS <br />Section 10520 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code. <br />B. Conform to all applicable standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and <br />California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) for fire extinguisher cabinets and location. <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />1.08 FIELD MEASUREMENTS <br />A. Make and be responsible for all field dimensions necessary for proper fitting and completion <br />of work. Report discrepancies to Architect before proceeding. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 EXTINGUISHERS <br />A. Extinguishers to be provided where shown on plans and as noted below: <br />1. Fire extinguishers - General Use: UL Rating 2A-1 OBC extinguishers shall be 5 Ib. <br />nominal capacity multi-purpose dry chemical type, bearing U.L. Label; finish shall be <br />red enameled steel. <br />2. Fire extinguishers - Service Kitchen (no Ansul system): Provide UL Rating 4A-80BC <br />extinguishers with 10 Ib. nominal capacity, multi-purpose dry chemical type. <br />B. Tamperseals on each extinguisher shall be of the breakable metal type, indicating accidental <br />or unauthorized partial discharge. <br />C. Pressure gauges on each extinguisher shall be of the dial type. <br />D. Mounting brackets: <br />1. Brackets shall be as furnished by the manufacturer of the extinguisher for the <br />equipment specified. Brackets shall be of quick release design, not subject to release <br />by bumping. <br />2. Bracket attachments shall be furnished with each bracket, suitable for the surface to <br />2 <br />
