FIRE EXTINGUISHERS & CABINETS <br />Section 10520 <br />15-1207 <br />which attachment is to be made. <br />2.02 FIRE EXTINGUISHER CABINETS <br />A. Cabinets to be Cosmopolitan Series by J. L. Industries or approved equal. Cabinets located <br />in fire rated walls to be Cosmopolitan Fire FX Option by J. L. Industries or approved equal. <br />1. Size cabinets to conform to size and number of extinguishers at each location shown <br />on the Contract Drawings. <br />2. Cabinet shall be fabricated ADAC option, meeting CBC projection criteria. <br />3. Cabinets to have solid panel door with flush pull, no key lock, and continuous hinge. <br />Door to have permanent lettering "FIRE EXTINGUISHER" in red color. <br />4. Cabinet and door to be #4 stainless steel factory finish. <br />5. Welded anchors to be provided appropriate to construction in which cabinet is placed. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to installation of work of this Section, carefully inspect and verify that the installed work <br />of all other trades is complete to the point where this installation may properly commence. <br />B. Verify that specified items may be installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. In the event of discrepancy, immediately notify Architect. Do not proceed in discrepant areas <br />until discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section and other Sections prior to and during installation, <br />and protect the installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, immediately make all repairs and replacements necessary to the <br />approval of the Architect and at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />3.03 INSTALLATION <br />A. Where exact location of cabinets is not indicated, locate as directed by Architect. <br />B. Install cabinets in accord with manufacturer's instruction and approved shop drawings. <br />C. Install so that handle of extinguisher is at 46 inches above finished floor line. <br />D. Prepare recesses in walls for cabinets as required by type and size of cabinet and style of <br />trim and to comply with manufacturer's instructions. Provide blocking, backing and other <br />materials necessary for proper attachment and fire rating. <br />E. Anchor cabinets and brackets securely in place. <br />3 <br />
