ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT <br />Section 11480 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Retractable Basketball Backstops/Scoreboard and Divider Curtains: <br />1. Provide all necessary wall blocking and internal anchorages as construction <br />progresses. Coordinate work with other trades. Use only shop drawings approved by <br />Architect, Engineer and DSA (where applicable). <br />2. Install per approved shop drawings with all anchorages securely completed. <br />C. Standard Sleeves (Volleyball or other): <br />1. Provide post sleeves and anchors to the appropriate installing trades in a timely manner <br />for incorporation into the work. <br />2. Coordinate work with that of the other trades. <br />3. Provide layout for the installing trades and verify that anchorages are properly installed <br />and in compliance with NFSHSA standards and regulations and layout shown on <br />Drawings and Submittals. <br />4. Completely install volleyball equipment in presence of Owner to demonstrate installation <br />procedures. <br />D. Game Equipment: <br />1. Install all game equipment and verify proper installation and operation. <br />2. Instruct maintenance personnel and facility manager in operation and maintenance. <br />Clean and repackage equipment, clearly mark packages and turn over to Owner. <br />1. Install per manufacturer's recommendations. <br />2. Provide all proper cutouts as needed and finish per manufacturer's recommendations. <br />F. Scoreboard/Shot Clock: Install per manufacturer's recommendations and approved shop <br />drawings. Provide control cabling for fully operational system. Coordinate location of conduit <br />size, placement and power requirements with electrical contractor. <br />3.03 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and/or material or finish replacement as necessary <br />to the approval of the Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />C. Exposed finishes shall be free from scratches, dents, permanent discolorations and other <br />defects in workmanship or material. <br />3.04 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING <br />A. Adjust all rollers, tracks, operators or other moving parts to operate smoothly and without <br />binding or jamming. <br />B. Upon completion of installation, remove manufacturer's temporary labels, marks of <br />identification. Thoroughly wash surfaces and remove foreign material. Leave entire work in <br />neat, orderly, clean and acceptable condition. Replace damaged parts and surfaces which <br />E <br />
