ROLLER SHADES <br />Section 12494 <br />15-1207 <br />accepted. <br />D. Shadecloth: <br />Visually transparent: ThermoVeil group; single thickness non -raveling 0.030 inch thick <br />vinyl fabric, woven from 0.018 inch diameter opaque, extruded vinyl yarn comprised of <br />21 percent polyester and 79 percent reinforced vinyl, and accord with Title 19 CCR <br />Division 1, Chapter 1, Section 3.08 and NFPA 701-99. Colors as selected by Architect <br />from manufacturer's standard colors. <br />a. Type 1: 0900 series, 1 percent open, very dense linear weave pattern, 17.6 oz. <br />per square yard. <br />E. Accessories: Provide guide tracks, idle rollers, wheel carriers where recommended by <br />manufacturer. <br />Fascia: <br />a. Continuous removable extruded aluminum fascia that attaches to shade <br />mounting brackets without the use of adhesives, magnetic strips, or exposed <br />fasteners. <br />b. Fascia shall be able to be installed across two or more shade bands in one piece. <br />C. Fascia shall fully conceal brackets, shade roller and fabric on the tube. <br />d. Provide bracket / fascia end caps where mounting conditions expose outside of <br />roller shade brackets. <br />e. Notching of Fascia for manual chain shall not be acceptable. <br />F. Finishes: To be factory applied. <br />1. Aluminum: Baked enamel, color as selected by Architect from manufacturer's standard <br />colors. <br />2. Steel: Bonderized baked enamel, color as selected by Architect from manufacturer's <br />standard colors. <br />2.02 FABRICATION <br />A. Fabricate units to completely fill openings from head to sill and jamb to jamb. <br />1. Shadecloth: Fabricate to hang flat without buckling or distortion; heat seal trimmed <br />edges to hang straight without curling or raveling; shadecloth to roll true and straight <br />without shifting sideways more than 1/8 inch in either direction per 8 feet of shade <br />height. <br />2. Provide manufacturer's standard battens as required to assure proper tracking and <br />uniform rolling of shade bands; maintain width -to -height ratios to assure proper tracking <br />and rolling. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 PREPARATION <br />A. Job Measurements: Take field measurements for this work and be responsible for same. <br />In <br />
