ROLLER SHADES <br />Section 12494 <br />15-1207 <br />Report any major discrepancy between plan and field dimensions to the Architect. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. Installation shall be in strict conformance with referenced standards, the manufacturer's <br />written directions, and as herein specified. <br />B. Wall Mount Brackets: Secure to studs or solid backing with (2) #8 x 1-1/2 inch round head <br />wood screws. <br />C. Tolerances: Install units plumb and true with the following tolerances: <br />1. Maximum variation of gap at window opening perimeter: 1/4 inch per 8 feet of shade <br />height <br />2. Maximum offset from level: 1/8 inch. <br />3. Follow manufacturer's edge clearance specifications for shades where the width : to <br />height ratio (W:H) exceed 1:3. <br />3.03 ADJUSTING <br />A. Adjust units for smooth operation. Adjust shade and shadecloth to hang flat without buckling <br />or distortion. Replace any units or components which do not hand properly or operate <br />smoothly. <br />3.04 CLEANING <br />A. Touch up damaged finished and repair minor damage in order to eliminate evidence of repair; <br />remove work that cannot be satisfactorily repaired and replace with new. <br />B. Clean exposed surfaces, including metal and shadecloth, using materials and methods <br />recommended by manufacturer; remove work which cannot be satisfactorily cleaned and <br />replace with new. <br />3.05 DEMONSTRATION <br />A.
