MECHANICAL GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />Section 15010 <br />15-1207 <br />F. Conform to the State Energy Conservation Standards for all material and equipment. <br />2.02 MATERIALS FURNISHED: <br />A. Identify all materials and equipment by manufacturer's name and model number. Remove <br />unidentified materials and equipment from site. <br />B. Equipment specified by manufacturer's number shall include all accessories, controls, etc. <br />listed in catalog as standard with equipment. Furnish optional or additional accessories as <br />specified. <br />C. Equipment or material damaged during transportation, installation, or operation is <br />considered as totally damaged. Replace with new equipment. Variance from this permitted <br />only with written consent of the Architect. <br />D. Deliver, Protection, and Care: <br />1. Deliver materials or equipment to the Project in the manufacturer's original, <br />unopened, labeled containers. <br />2. Added costs associated with reordering, expediting orders, or project delays due to <br />rejected materials shall be borne by the Contractor. <br />3. Protect from damage which may be caused by theft, weather, and building <br />operations. Failure to protect materials and apparatus adequately shall be sufficient <br />cause for rejection of any damaged material or equipment. <br />4. Close pipe and equipment openings to prevent intrusion of obstructions and damage. <br />5. Owner or Architect will require removal and replacement of such material or work <br />from the premises which is not in accordance with Contract Documents. Replace <br />unsatisfactory work without delay, at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />6. All material and equipment shall be protected against moisture, dirt and damage. <br />Protective coverings shall be provided for bearings, open connections to pumps and <br />tanks, coils, ducts, pipes and similar equipment that is vulnerable to grit and dirt. <br />7. The interior of the pipes and ducts shall be kept clean at all times. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 GENERAL: <br />A. General arrangement and location of piping, ductwork, equipment, etc. are shown on <br />Drawings or herein specified. Carefully examine other work that may conflict with this work. <br />Install this work in harmony with other crafts and at proper time to avoid delay of work. <br />Provide all offsets as required to avoid other trades at no additional cost to the owner. <br />B. In advance of construction, work out minor changes and relocations to suit actual conditions <br />and work of other trades to avoid conflict therewith. This shall not be cause for additional <br />cost. <br />C. Execute any work or apparatus shown on the Drawings and not mentioned in the <br />specifications, or vice versa, the same as if specifically mentioned by both.
