Prior to start of the project, the fabricator shall submit a copy of <br />certificate of registration for approval. Prior to project close out, the fabricator shall submit a <br />certificate of compliance that the work was performed in accordance with the approved <br />plans and specifications to the building official and to the Engineer or Architect of record. <br />3.08 EXISTING SERVICES: <br />A. Provide and install all required connections to existing systems as required by the Drawings <br />and specifications. <br />B. Integrate existing systems with all new work to provide a complete working system. <br />C. Provide minimum 72 hour notice to Owner of service interruptions. All service interruptions <br />shall be kept to the minimum possible time. When requested by Owner service interruptions <br />shall occur outside of normal working hours at no additional cost to owner. <br />3.09 ASBESTOS ABATEMENT: <br />A. Existing systems within the area of this scope of work may have asbestos -bearing materials. <br />Testing, encapsulation, removal, treatment, or correction of existing asbestos -bearing <br />materials is not a part of this scope of work and is not the responsibility of the mechanical <br />contractors. <br />3.10 STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF EQUIPMENT AND SEISMIC RESTRAINTS: <br />A. All mechanical equipment supports shall be designed by a licensed Structural Engineer and <br />shall comply with the 2007 California Building Code, Section 1614A1.13 and ASCE 7-05 <br />Sections 13.3, 13.4, 13.6, and Chapter 6. <br />B. Provide seismic sway bracing for all suspended piping and ductwork in accordance with the <br />OSHPD anchorage pre -approval OPA-0349, the "Mason Industries Seismic Restraint <br />Guidelines for Suspended Piping, Ductwork, and Electrical Systems". <br />1. Badger, B -Line, Superstrut, or equal systems bearing current OPA numbers shall <br />also be acceptable. <br />3.11 WARRANTY: <br />A. Be responsible for work done and material installed under these plans and specifications. <br />Repair or replace, as may be necessary, any defective work, material, or part which may <br />show damage to itself or other materials, furnishing, equipment, or premises caused by such <br />defects during this period, if in the opinion of the Architect said defect is due to imperfection <br />of material or workmanship. Provide all such work and materials at no cost to Owner. <br />B. Be responsible for damage to any part of premises during guarantee period caused by leaks <br />or breaks in work furnished and/or installed under this section. Replace refrigerant, <br />lubricants, or gasses lost as result of defects, breaks, or leaks in work. <br />C. Provide manufacturer's written warranties covering defects in material and workmanship of <br />products and equipment utilized for the project. <br />m <br />
