Presto (EHD). During the site visit was escorted by MANZO
Aman Singh, production supervisor, who reported that their fresh water tank
(located inside the facility) had a leak. Observed a burnt down truck in the loading
bay (norther parking lot area) along with a large pool of standing liquid in the
northern parking lot area. Aaron Spehling (General Manager) is in charge of the
facility and the clean up. 707-601-6562. See C. Presto (EHD) narrative for more
details.
08/25/2021 Drove to facility with lead senior, Elena Manzo, to inspect the spill. Spoke with
Aaron Spehling on the phone as he was no longer in the office. He stated that the
water in the tank is direct from the tap and comes from City. Supervisor, Aman
Singh, walked us to the boiler room to see the tank. Upon entering the boiler room,
water can be seen at the entrance door, puddles on the east side of the room,
larger pools of water in the middle south and southwest toward the water tank. On
the eastern side of the boiler room, water was observed under two blue 55-gallon
plastic drums of Nalco 359 (Diethylethanolamine), and 2 blue <50-gallons plastic
containers of Nalco NexGuard 22310. The water tank is located the southwestern
corner of the boiler room. Absorbent and sludge was observed around the base of
the tank. Aman walked us outside in where the water flowed toward a plugged
storm drain. Per Aman the storm drain is always blocked. The water pooled
around the plugged storm drain. The water was in the process of being pumped
out from the ground and into a plastic tote. The tote will then be poured into their
waste pit. The water that flowed from the boiler room toward the pool of water
above the storm drain has dried but the pathway can still be seen. Part of the
waters pathway toward the pool of water has a residue seen on the surface and
sludge is also seen around a more dried water path. The pH was taken of the
water in above the storm drain by Manager, Peter. The pH read 6.64. Drove back
to the office.
PRESTO
08/25/2021 Received a phone call from Aaron Spehling reporting that they overspilled water PRESTO
from their waste water tank. The water flowed into their parking lot and they are
currently pumping the water out and placing it into their waste pit. Asked if there
were any chemicals in the water. He stated no chemicals, just fresh water from
their tank.
5105. rpt
