I and monitoring equipment shall be conducted in accordance with California Code of Regulations, <br /> 2 title 23,Division 3,Chapter 16,Article.6 and any additional manufacturer's specifications as required <br /> 3 by California Code of Regulations,title 23, section 2660. <br /> 4 j. Defendants shall develop,maintain, and enforce a preventive maintenance <br /> 5 schedule for all monitoring equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions as required <br /> 6 by California Code of Regulations, title 23, sections 2632(d)(1)(F) and 2634(d)(2)(F). <br /> 7 k. Defendants shall install, place and maintain all leak-detecting equipment, <br /> 8 so that the equipment, including leak-detecting sensors, is capable of detecting a leak at the earliest <br /> 9 possible opportunity as required by California Code of Regulations, title 23, sections 2630(d) and <br /> 10 2641(a). <br /> 11 1. Defendants shall maintain the UST monitoring system at each and every <br /> C <br /> 12 Facility/Facilities Defendants own, operate, manage or control powered on, active, fully functional, <br /> 13 in the proper operating mode (i.e., not deactivated, bypassed, or not fully functioning) and in good <br /> p p p g Yp <br /> 14 repair as required by California Code of Regulations, title 23, sections 2630(d) and 26416). <br /> 15 Defendants shall conduct a daily check of the electronic UST monitoring system, to ensure that it is <br /> 16 powered on, properly operating and not in alarm. <br /> 17 M. Defendants shall document every monitoring system alarm in a written log. <br /> 18 Said log shall include: the nature of the alarm, alarm condition, a description of the action taken in <br /> 19 response to the alarm(s) including the name, address and license number of any service technician <br /> 20 that may have responded to the alarm. <br /> 21 n. Defendants shall institute a program that standardizes the descriptions and <br /> 22 method of recording alarms and responses to alarms. Defendants shall also require employees take <br /> 23 periodic refresher courses on proper alarm recording and response. <br /> 24 0. Defendants shall assure that all interstitial space sensors are connected to <br /> 25 an audible and visual alarm approved by the local Unified Program Agency (UPA), or "UPA," as <br /> 26 required by California Code of Regulations, title 23, section 2632(c)(2)(B). <br /> 27 P. Defendants shall insure that all underground piping with secondary <br /> 28 containment is equipped with a continuous monitoring system that either activates an audible or <br /> 5 <br /> Hassan&Sons,Inc.,et al. [Proposedl Final.Judgment and Permanent Injunction <br />
