HASP — Project Vandelay — Stockton Upgrade Geotechnical Exploration Services <br />August 2019 <br />Project No. 066079 <br />Page 5 of 8 <br />Emergency First Aid for Possible Substances Present: <br />Substance <br />Petroleum hydrocarbons <br />Metals <br />VOCs <br />First Aid Equipment On -Site <br />Exposure Symptoms First Aid <br />Nausea, dizziness Take affected person to fresh air <br />Eye splash Rinse with fresh water for 15 min.; take to <br />doctor if irritation continues <br />Skin contact Wash with soap and water, rinse well with <br />fresh water; seek medical assistance if <br />irritation develops <br />Ingestion Do not induce vomiting - contact doctor <br />To provide first line assistance to field personnel in the case of a sickness or injury, the SSO shall have the <br />following items immediately available: <br />✓ First aid kit - containing supplies for initial treatment of minor cuts and abrasions, severe lacerations, <br />shock, skin irritation, thermal and chemical burns, and insect bites. <br />✓ Supply of clean water for flooding exposed skin areas or treatment of heat stroke <br />✓ Soap or hand cleaner and towels <br />✓ Emergency eyewash (bottled water) <br />✓ Emergency eyewash and drinking water shall be located near the work areas but outside the restricted <br />area. <br />✓ If suitable water supplies are not immediately available, or where water use is inappropriate for fire <br />suppression, a ten -pound ABC fire extinguisher will be available (provided by Taber Drilling). <br />On -Site Emergency Procedures <br />1. Personal injury or illness: <br />If an emergency involving actual or suspected personal injury occurs, the SSO shall follow <br />these steps: <br />Remove the exposed or injured person(s) from immediate danger. <br />bannc-ft Flenman> <br />
