Transfer Station <br /> Facility No.- 39-AA-0020 Page 5 of 5 <br /> 14 CCR 17562 Hazardous Wastes- Five batteries had appropriately been removed from the waste <br /> stream and stored outside the tipping buildings north-west corner. Three of the batteries <br /> had been placed on wood blocks but two had been placed on the ground. During the course of <br /> the inspection, all of these batteries were placed on a wooden pallet and subsequently <br /> removed from the station. A wooden pallet or other above ground storage mechanism should be <br /> provided at all times for the storage of batteries as they are discovered in the waste <br /> stream. <br /> Waste Management Specialisil�W"� <br />
