Item No. 2
PC: 9-16-93 .-
UP-91-12/ER-92-4
Page 2
The closed landfill would present a raised hilly area inconsistent with the generally
flat surrounding topography. This visual incongruity coud be considered a significant
impact. No mitigation measures have been identified.
Because the County is nonattainment for PM 10,any increase in PM 10 is considered
3' significant under CEQA. All reasonable mitigation measures related to dust control
have been applied.
5. The use is compatible with adjoining land uses.
• This finding can be made because the adjoining land uses are primarily agricultural.
The EIR determined that this project would not conflict with the Stockton City landfill
to the northeast of this site or with the Stockton Metropolitan Airport.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Forward, Inc., is requesting a Use Permit to make several modifications to approved Use Permit No. U-73-
9 for an existing landfill and transfer/recycling station.
