FOR REFERENCE ONLY BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL <br /> Hazardous Materials Spill Response HAZ-006 <br /> Damaged Materials <br /> Damaged Materials <br /> Damaged materials are containers, contaminated clean up supplies, and packaging that are <br /> considered to be non-reusable at the station/hub level. They must be properly processed in <br /> accordance with the Safety disposition and the guidelines set forth by the Environmental Affairs <br /> department, PGH. There are no exceptions to this rule. Except in California, place damaged <br /> Hazmats, packaging, and PPE that are sent to the hub for evaluation in a lined salvage drum that <br /> includes: <br /> • OP-90OLL or OP-90OLG (unless a lithium battery or Limited Quantity) <br /> • Applicable diamond label(s) <br /> • OP-909 <br /> • Hazardous Materials Packing Envelope, OP-905, which contains: <br /> - Hazmat incident report <br /> - ISF printout <br /> - Disposition <br /> - SDS <br /> • Orientation arrows for liquids <br /> Note: If a FedEx Home Delivery station has no direct trailers going to the station/hub, take <br /> the drums to the parent FedEx Ground station/hub, and send them to the station/hub. <br /> Non-Reusable Packages <br /> A package Is deemed non-reusable If: <br /> • Liquid or solid material was released <br /> • Inner containers (i.e., plastic or glass bottles, jugs, etc.) have lost volume in any amount <br /> • Outer packaging (i.e., five-gallon plastic pail, fiberboard) has been damaged <br /> Note: Inner or outer containers that are completely dry of all liquid or solid residue may be <br /> discarded in the local trash. This does not apply to containers releasing odors or causing <br /> eye or nose irritation.
