Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
Two septic systems are currently located on the Site (Plates 3 and 4).
Proposed Septic System
No new septic systems are planned.
On -Site Septic Permit History
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were
searched for the Site address. Two septic permits were identified:
• April 2008 permit for new septic system at residence. The system utilizes a
2,000 -gallon septic tank and seven 100 -foot leach lines (32521).
• December 2004 permit for new septic system at residence. Air photo imagery
from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have
one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that at least six septic systems
per square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of orchards with scattered rural residences.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department for nearby properties, most septic systems in the area utilize leach
lines or leach lines with sumps. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this
report.
LOGE 2141 Page 2
