7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated
sites through two sub -agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The
SWRCB's GeoTracker database includes underground storage tank (UST) sites,
leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land
disposal sites. The database can be searched by reviewing two lists, the
Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites list and the Cleanup Sites list.
DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response
sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and
permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on October 15, 2021 for any listed sites within
one-quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either database,
and no listed facilities were identified within one-quarter mile.
7.2 Environmental Health Deaartment Databases
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Cleanup, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste Generators, Underground
Storage Tanks, Aboveground Storage Tanks, and Complaints databases, dated
April 2021, for facilities of concern within one-quarter mile of the Site.
The Site addresses were not included on the databases. The following five
facilities were identified within the search radius:
• Jim Saco, Jr., 23031 N. Bruella, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste
Generators, Aboveground Storage Tanks lists, approximately one-quarter
mile to the southwest. According to records on file at the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department, a 500 -gallon aboveground
diesel tank and a 500 -gallon aboveground gasoline tank were maintained
at this facility in 2010 through 2013; a 55 -gallon used oil drum was also
present in 2009 and 2010. The facility had a Small Quantity Hazardous
Waste Generator permit in 2010 through 2013. An inspection report from
2011 indicated violations related to recordkeeping and open containers of
used oil; a "return to compliance" certificate was also on file. Based on the
information reviewed, no evidence of an impact to the subject Site was
identified.
LOGE 2152 5
