2.1 Zoninn The San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org) states that the Site is zoned AL -5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of five acres. This zoning designation "is intended to recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small-scale agricultural operations and dwellings." 2.2 Proposed Development A minor subdivision is proposed to separate the Site into four new parcels 4.5 to 4.65 acres in size (Plate 3). 2.3 Topography A recent U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 -minute topographic map was obtained from the San Joaquin County District Viewer. In the map, the Site is depicted at approximately 85 feet above mean sea level. This map is included as Plate 4. 3.0 HISTORICAL RESEARCH 3.1 Aerial Photographs Live Oak reviewed aerial photographs of the Site provided by the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. The available photographs were dated 1937, 1952, 1963, and 1975. Four additional photographs, dated 1993, 2003, 2010, and 2021 were obtained from Google Earth. In the 1937 photo, one structure and a few large trees can be seen near the center of the Site. The northern portion of the Site appears to be open land, while the southern portion is orchard. The surrounding properties are open land, orchard, and vineyard. In the 1952 photo, several additional small structures can be seen near the center of the Site. The remainder of the Site appears to be irrigated pasture; the orchard has been removed. A new structure can be seen on the adjacent property to the west. In the 1963 photo, the original structure is no longer visible on the Site, though it may still be present but obscured by a large tree. No other significant changes are apparent. The scale of the 1975 photo is such that site-specific features cannot be identified. Several new residences can be seen to the south of the Site. LOGE 2152 2
