SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />Introduction <br />Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Tracy Clarke to conduct <br />a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for her property located at 23702 <br />North Bruella Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br />The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br />cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br />been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br />use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br />Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br />Proposed Development <br />The Site will be divided into four new parcels 4.5 to 4.65 acres in size (Plate 2) <br />Site Descriation <br />The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-340-01, approximately <br />18 acres in size. It is located at 23702 North Bruella Road, Acampo, California; a <br />second house on the Site uses the address of 23714. <br />The Site is open land with two houses, three barns, and three additional outbuildings. A <br />well serves the residences (Plate 3). <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 85 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 4). <br />According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AL - <br />5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of five acres. This zoning designation <br />"is intended to recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of <br />small-scale agricultural operations and dwellings." <br />LOGE 2153 Page 1 <br />
