2-5 Currently, there are no daily (unusual) peak loadings. The RRF and landfill (combined) are able to receive a 620-trip maximum threshold allowed for the entire Forward facility as discussed in Section 3.2.9. Loading up to the maximum traffic inflow can be accommodated by the use of back-up equipment and additional trips to the Forward Landfill can be accomplished to handle residual waste. If the capacity is ever reached, additional personnel will be added, as needed . When the RRF is at capacity, all excess loads are turned away. 2.6 Equipment (14 CCR. Sections 17416.3 and 18221.6 (I)) A variety of equipment is used in the operation of the station. The equipment on-site is adequate to meet operational and maintenance needs in order to comply with 14 CCR, Section 17416.3. The equipment available at the RRF is listed in Table 1. The equipment varies dependent upon the type of operations being performed at the RRF; therefore, Table 1 indicates the use of the equipment. Not all the equipment listed on Table 1 may be present on the site, equipment will be brought on site as operations warrant their need. Standby equipment is discussed in Section 2.6.2. 2.6.1 Equipment Maintenance Besides daily maintenance (i.e., checking belts and fans, engines, hydraulic oil, fuel, blowing down dust, etc.), the RRF has implemented a preventive maintenance program to ensure the reliability of all equipment and vehicles. The maintenance program that routinely schedules all heavy equipment for servicing based on the number of hours the equipment has been in service (250 hours, 500 hours, 750 hours, 1000 hours, etc.). In-house personnel perform all maintenance and repairs. An outside vendor who specializes in the related area of equipment may be used for maintenance and/or repair, as needed. Equipment maintenance and operation must occur during the permitted hours of operation (see Section 2.2). Daily inspections are conducted related to vehicle and equipment operation. A copy of the maintenance form/checklist is included in Appendix C. 2.6.2 Standby Equipment RRF personnel continually evaluates the need for additional equipment for transfer operations. Any standby, specialized, or additional equipment can be leased or rented from local contractors or suppliers. The RRF has established contract agreements with the followin g local contractors and suppliers to provide equipment, as needed.
