Obtain a Insignia from the State Housing and Community Development. Their phone number is <br /> 916-255-2501. <br /> 2. Tanks shall be adequately vented for flow. Water tank vents shall terminate in a downward <br /> direction and shall be covered with 16-mesh per square inch screen or equivalent when the <br /> vent is in a protected area or a protective filter when the vent is in an area not protected from <br /> windblown dirt and debris. (CRFC Section 114213) <br /> 3. Except for units subject to Part 2 (commencing with Section 18000) of Division 13, a second <br /> means of exit shall be provided in the side opposite the main exit door, or in the roof, or the <br /> rear of the unit, with an unobstructed passage of at least 24 inches by 36 inches. The interior <br /> latching mechanism shall be operable by hand without special tools or key. The exit shall be <br /> labeled "Safety Exit" in contrasting colors with letters at least one inch high. (CFRC Section <br /> 114323) <br /> 4. Employee entrance doors to food preparation areas shall be self-closing and kept closed when <br /> not in use. (CFRC114303) <br /> 5. Mechanical exhaust ventilation equipment shall be provided over all cooking equipment as <br /> required to effectively remove cooking odors, smoke, steam, grease, heat, and vapors. All <br /> mechanical exhaust ventilation equipment shall be installed and maintained in accordance with <br /> the California Mechanical Code, except that for units subject to Part 2 (commencing with <br /> Section 18000)of Division 13, an alternative code adopted pursuant to Section 18028 shall <br /> govern the construction standards.
