Waverly Road <br />Linden, California <br />Dear Ms. Milam: <br />Terracon Consultants, Inc. (Terracon) is submitting this work and safety plan for the proposed <br />San Joaquin Solar project located within the San Joaquin County Foothill Landfill facility located <br />at 6484 N Waverly Road in Linden, San Joaquin County, California. <br />A. SCOPE OF WORK <br />Pile Installation: <br />For location of pile tests and exploration points, Terracon will use hand-held recreational GPS <br />equipment accurate to within 15 feet of the locations. <br />Terracon will hire a sub -contractor to install a total of ten (10) piles at five (5) locations. The test <br />piles will be advanced with a rubber tracked GAYK HRE 1000 Hydraulic Hammer Rig or <br />equivalent. <br />Pile Testing: <br />Testing will be performed by a qualified Terracon personnel and will generally follow procedures <br />in ASTM D 3689-07, Standard Test Method for Deep Foundations under Static Axial Tensile Load <br />and ASTM D 3966-07, Standard Test Method for Deep Foundations under Lateral Load. <br />A 5 -ton chain pull will be used to apply the test loads using chains and clevises all rated for at <br />least a 5 -ton safe working capacity. A Model ED Junior load cell was used to measure loads in <br />both the axial and lateral tests. All components used in the tests are rated for load capacities <br />within the range of applied test loads. <br />Pile Extraction: <br />
