6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix
for Test Results Form.
Shallow Test(s)
TEST HOLE PERCOLATION RATE
1 (Parcel 1) 50 Min/In
2 (Parcel 2) 41.6 Min/In
*See Results in Appendix.
6.7 Discussion of any potential problems predicted and/or the need for an engineered or
alternative septic system. In this area, the soils are classified as Jacktone and Stockton Clay. Due to
this classification and percolation rate, a separate septic system for each unit with three leach lines, and
six 5 foot diameter seepage pits. Two seepage pits will be installed in series on each line, separated by 5
feet. The seepage pits are provided to reduce the overall footprint of the leach fields to meet setback
requirements.
6.8 Discussion of percolation rates in relation to the type, size and location of future leach
fields needed at the site. Based on the results of the percolation rate and the soils profile, it is
Dillon & Murphy's opinion that the subject proposed parcels are suited for separate on-site sewage
disposal systems for each dwelling unit. The systems should be properly designed and installed
according to the above criteria and current San Joaquin County septic system standards.
Based on the depth to groundwater in the area, and the size of the proposed parcels, it is our opinion
on that the installation of any new proposed septic system, if properly installed, should not
adversely affect the quality of groundwater in the area.
7.0 CONCLUSION SECTION
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the proposed
development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at the time we
excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the test hole and
percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
Our services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in accordance
with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
